The vast majority of my posts are friends locked. It is what all the cool kids are doing.

Friend me if you like. But please comment here (introduce yourself) so I know when you do and who you are.

Sometimes I am super slow at friending back. (Especially if you are just a name in my inbox.)

I have decided it is time for a OUAT re~watch. There is a lot of back and forth in this series. Almost on par with Dr Who. So I figured I would make an open thread about it and tell people I know that like the show about it. If you like the show welcome and be aware, this is a spoilery post.

Once Upon A Time I watched a TV show . . . Collapse )

I will update as I re~watch more episodes. I will also change the date on this post when I do so, so this may appear on your flist more than once. Sorry.

Have you bought your girl scout cookies in protest of the girl scout that is protesting the girl scouts, and the cookie sale, for accepting girls that weren't born girls?

As a former girl scout I firmly believe every girl should have the right to participate.

"If a child identifies as a girl and the child's family presents her as a girl, Girl Scouts of Colorado welcomes her as a Girl Scout," said the Colorado Girl Scouts

By the way, the girl in question is seven.

My favorite is better than your favorite!

Unless your favorite is a RM player too in which case he is pretty awesome as well.

I live in the ring of fire and I know several of you do too.

My name is Doug Copp. I am the Rescue Chief and Disaster Manager of the American Rescue Team International (ARTI), the world's most experienced rescue team. The information in this article will save lives in an earthquake.

I have crawled inside 875 collapsed buildings, worked with rescue teams from 60 countries, founded rescue teams in several countries, and I am a member of many rescue teams from many countries. I was the United Nations expert in Disaster Mitigation for two years, and have worked at every major disaster in the world since 1985, except for simultaneous disasters.

I made this post awhile ago for ONTD but decided I should post it here as I am a Real Madrid fan and most of the people that visit my journal are as well. But that doesn't mean that if you are not a fan we can't be friends.

Hope you find it useful.

hala_madrid ~ Is the most active RM comm on LJ.

And I do believe it is time to add their confirmed twatter accounts, no?Collapse )

P.S. With this in my journal I hope to keep this fairly up to date. If I am missing something or you are trying to find a comm and having no luck, let me know and I will see if I can help.

So are you annoyed by the facebook and twitter reposting that livejournal has unleashed? Do you strive to keep your LJ and RL separate? Well you are not alone.

You're probably all aware that Livejournal now allows you to repost comments to Facebook and Twitter. This is a very unpopular new feature. Firefox has an addon that hides the new Facebook / Twitter repost ticky boxes. But here's a little line of code you can use to make it so that no one, no matter what browser they're using, can repost comments.

.b-repost-item {display:none}

Here's what to do:

1. Go to Custom CSS in Customize Journal Style.

2. Copy and paste .b-repost-item {display:none} into the Custom stylesheet box and save changes.

Voila! As you can see the boxes are hidden on the comm now :)

ETA: here is a place you can vote on it.

This css fix is style dependent and will probably not work for basic accounts because they can't customize their comment css. If you browse through the comments you'll find additional info that might help.

FYI I did not write this but it was doing the rounds on my f-list and it works for quite a few folks so I encourage you to share it; it might work for someone else, too..

If it bugs you too spread the word. And it does work on personal journals as well as comms so yeah! One small glitch, it doesn't work if you have disabled the customized comments.
